Behind The Scenes

Students in Media and Communications Studies at Catholic University interned on a feature-length documentary for PBS and national broadcast.

An award-winning filmmaker, Anna Reid Jhirad, was directing production of The Last Battlefront: Quest for the Vote in Washington, D.C. about the struggle for voting rights for D.C. residents.

They conducted archival research at the Library of Congress, worked with a professional film crew interviewing major political figures, and learned about the racism behind D.C. residents' lack of self-governance and representation in Congress.
