Dr. Kathleen Burke

Dr. Kathleen M. Burke is a retired academic administrator with private sector experience in technology and distance learning. Most recently, she served as Associate Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Johns Hopkins University, where she directed the University’s Advanced Academic Programs in the Baltimore, Washington, DC and Rockville campuses. Previously, she held deanships at George Washington University, Trinity University, and Georgia Southern University. Prior to these positions, she was the Associate Dean at the University of Maryland, an Associate Vice-Provost at Marymount University, and Assistant Dean at University of Maryland Global Campus. Previously, she worked with IBM corporation. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, an MA from Oxford University, and a BA from Loyola University in Maryland. Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Burke is a long-time resident of Washington, DC’s Ward 4.
